       AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to powers and  duties  of
         the disaster preparedness commission
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Paragraph i of subdivision 3 of section 21 of the executive
    2  law, as amended by section 2 of part B of chapter  56  of  the  laws  of
    3  2010, is amended to read as follows:
    4    i.  submit to the governor, the legislature and the chief judge of the
    5  state by March thirty-first of each year an annual  report  which  shall
    6  include but need not be limited to:
    7    (1)  a  summary of commission and state agency activities for the year
    8  and plans for the ensuing year with respect to the duties and  responsi-
    9  bilities of the commission;
   10    (2)  recommendations  on ways to improve state and local capability to
   11  prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters;
   12    (3) the status of the state and local plans for disaster  preparedness
   13  and  response,  including  the  name of any locality which has failed or
   14  refused to develop and implement its own disaster preparedness plan  and
   15  program;  and  the extent to which all forms of local emergency response
   16  assets have been included, and accounted for in planning and preparation
   17  for disaster preparedness and response;
   18    (4) THE EXTENT TO WHICH ALL FORMS OF LOCAL EMERGENCY  RESPONSE  ASSETS
   19  HAVE  BEEN  INCLUDED  AND  ACCOUNTED FOR IN PLANNING AND PREPARATION FOR
   20  DISASTER RECOVERY; and
   21    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
