        AN ACT in relation to directing the Commissioner of the Office of Parks,
          Recreation and Historic Preservation to provide  Empire  Passports  to
          the  families  of  reservists and members of the National Guard, whose
          qualified service commenced on or after September eleventh, two  thou-
          sand one
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1.  The Commissioner of the Office of  Parks,  Recreation  and
     2  Historic  Preservation shall promulgate rules and regulations to provide
     3  Empire Passports to the  families  of  reservists  and  members  of  the
     4  National  Guard, whose qualified service commenced on or after September
     5  eleventh, two thousand one,  to  allow  the  families  of  our  military
     6  personnel  to  enjoy  the  State's  parks,  beaches  and  other  natural
     7  resources free of charge.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
