        AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to redesignating the  "Army
          Captain  Clayton  Carpenter Memorial Highway" to be the "Major Clayton
          Carpenter Memorial Highway"
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  Section 344-e of the highway law, as added by chapter 383
     2  of the laws of 2016, is amended to read as follows:
     3    § 344-e. Portion of the state highway system to be designated  as  the
     4  ["Army  Captain]  "Major  Clayton  Carpenter Memorial Highway". All that
     5  portion of the state highway system constituting state route one hundred
     6  eighteen in the town of Yorktown, county of  Westchester,  beginning  at
     7  the  intersection  of  state  route  one  hundred eighteen and Underhill
     8  Avenue, continuing in a generally northerly direction on state route one
     9  hundred eighteen, and terminating at the intersection of state route one
    10  hundred eighteen and state route two hundred two,  shall  be  designated
    11  and known as the ["Army Captain] "Major Clayton Carpenter Memorial High-
    12  way".
    13    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
