BLAKE, BRAUNSTEIN, DAVILA, FAHY, HOOPER, JAFFEE, PERRY, SIMON, SOLAGES, STECK -- read once and referred to the Committee on Children and Families AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to posting child day care provider qualifications on the office of children and family services' website The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 390-a of the social services law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 6 to read as follows: 3 6. Licensed or registered providers may submit to the office of chil- 4 dren and family services any relevant training completed beyond that 5 required pursuant to this section. Such training may include, but is not 6 limited to, credentials received from a local, statewide or national 7 organization, educational credits earned and courses taken in the field 8 of early childhood development, education or safety, and any partic- 9 ipation in a quality rating and improvement system. The office of chil- 10 dren and family services shall post such information on its website. 11 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
