        AN ACT to amend the public officers law, in  relation  to  allowing  the
          public  to submit requests for access to the records of a state agency
          by use of an online form
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  Subdivision 3 of section 89 of the public officers law is
     2  amended by adding a new paragraph (c) to read as follows:
     3    (c) Each state agency, as defined in subdivision five of this section,
     4  that maintains a website shall  ensure  its  website  provides  for  the
     5  online submission of a request for records pursuant to this article.
     6    §  2. This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeed-
     7  ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
