        AN  ACT  to  amend the social services law, in relation to the duties of
          child protective services concerning reports  of  suspected  abuse  or
          maltreatment  of  children  who are members of an active duty military
          family
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Section 424 of the social services law is amended by adding
     2  a new subdivision 6-c to read as follows:
     3    6-c.  in cases where the alleged abused or neglected child is a member
     4  of an active duty military family, as  defined  by  subdivision  six  of
     5  section  one  of  the military law, forward a copy of such report to the
     6  department of defense family  advocacy  program  and  the  military  law
     7  enforcement  agency  at  the  installation  where the military member is
     8  assigned;
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
