        AN  ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to enacting the
          "MTA board member attendance act"
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  Short  title. This act shall be known and may be cited as
     2  the "MTA board member attendance act".
     3    § 2. Subdivision 3 of section 1263 of the public  authorities  law  is
     4  amended by adding a new paragraph (e) to read as follows:
     5    (e)  In  order  to  cast a vote on proposed fare hikes, a board member
     6  shall attend a majority of public hearings.
     7    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
