Honors New Jersey National Guard for service during Hurricane Sandy.

A Senate Resolution honoring the New Jersey National Guard for service during Hurricane Sandy.
Whereas, On October 29, 2012, Hurricane Sandy made landfall in New Jersey, causing historic flooding, widespread power outages and wind damage, becoming one of the worst weather-related disasters in the State of New Jersey; and
Whereas, The men and women of the New Jersey National Guard honorably served this State by responding to the call for assistance during the hurricane, some leaving their families and loved ones behind to serve others in need; and
Whereas, This House recognizes the sacrifices the members of the National Guard and their families have made; and
Whereas, This House acknowledges the great debt of gratitude each resident of this State owes to these outstanding men and women; and
Whereas, It is fitting and proper for this House to honor the New Jersey National Guard for the sacrifices and exemplary service to this State during Hurricane Sandy; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of New Jersey:
1. This House honors the members of the New Jersey National Guard for their sacrifices and exemplary service to the State of New Jersey during Hurricane Sandy.
2. A duly authenticated copy of this resolution, signed by the Speaker of Senate and attested by the Clerk thereof, shall be transmitted to the Governor, the New Jersey Adjutant General, and to the commanders of the New Jersey National Guard.
STATEMENT
This Senate Resolution honors the men and women of the New Jersey National Guard for their sacrifices and exemplary service to this State during Hurricane Sandy.
On October 29, 2012, Hurricane Sandy made landfall in New Jersey, causing historic flooding, widespread power outages and wind damage, becoming one of the worst weather-related disasters in the State of New Jersey. The men and women of the New Jersey National Guard responded to the call for assistance during the hurricane, some leaving their families and loved ones behind to serve others in need. This House acknowledges the great debt of gratitude this State and its residents owe to these outstanding men and women, and honors them for their sacrifices and exemplary service during Hurricane Sandy.
