SYNOPSIS

     Allows municipalities to regulate and inspect certain premises that sell alcoholic beverages on international airport property.

An Act concerning alcoholic beverages and supplementing Title 33 of the Revised Statutes. 

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.  A municipal board of alcoholic beverage control established pursuant to R.S.33:1-5 may regulate and inspect a premises located within an international airport for which a license or permit has been issued by the director to authorize the sale of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the licensed premises.  The municipal board of alcoholic beverage control may impose an annual fee on the license or permit holder to defray the costs of regulating and inspecting the premises pursuant to this section. 

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately. 

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill allows a municipal board of alcoholic beverage control to regulate and inspect a premises located within an international airport for which the Director of the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control has issued a license or permit to sell alcoholic beverages for consumption on the licensed premises.  The bill also allows the municipal board to impose an annual fee on the license holder to defray the costs of regulating and inspecting the premises.
