SYNOPSIS
Makes supplemental appropriation of $7,500,000 from General Fund to DOE for nonpublic security aid.

A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June , 2017 (P.L.2017, c. ).
Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2017, c. , there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

Notwithstanding the provisions of section 5 of P.L.2016, c.49 (C.18A:58-37.12) to the contrary, the support limit for the 2017-2018 school year shall be $50.
2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2017, or upon the enactment of P.L.2017, c. , the annual appropriations act for fiscal year 2017-2018, whichever occurs later.
STATEMENT
This bill provides a supplemental appropriation from the General Fund of $7.5 million to the FY 2018 Appropriations Act to restore funding for nonpublic security aid. Under the bill, the aid would be allotted at a rate of $50 per pupil enrolled in a nonpublic school in the State.
