SYNOPSIS

     Authorizes State Treasurer to sell surplus real property located in Township of Woodbridge, Middlesex County.

An Act authorizing the State Treasurer to sell certain surplus real property and improvements owned by the State in the Township of Woodbridge, County of Middlesex.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    a.  The Department of the Treasury is authorized to sell and convey, as surplus real property, all of the State's interest in the property formerly known as the Woodbridge Developmental Center, which contains 54.44+- acres of land and improvements located at Block 867, Lot 1.01 and Block 872, Lot 4, in the Township of Woodbridge, County of Middlesex.  The property shall be conveyed to the Township of Woodbridge for $5,000,000.

     b.    The sale and conveyance authorized by subsection a. of this section shall be executed in accordance with the terms and conditions approved by the State House Commission.

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

This bill authorizes the State Treasurer to sell and convey to the Township of Woodbridge all of the State's interest in the property formerly known as the Woodbridge Developmental Center, which contains 54.44+- acres of land and improvements located at Block 867, Lot 1.01 and Block 872, Lot 4, in the Township of Woodbridge, County of Middlesex.  The property has been declared surplus to the needs of the State.  The Township of Woodbridge shall pay the State $5,000,000 for the subject property.  The property will be sold in accordance with the terms and conditions approved by the State House Commission.
