SYNOPSIS

     Provides that English shall be the official language of the State.

     As introduced.

  

An Act designating the English language as the official language of the State and supplementing chapter 9A of Title 52 of the Revised Statutes.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    The English language is designated as the official language of the State of New Jersey.

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill provides that English shall be the official language of the State of New Jersey.
