     Provides temporary extension of certain motor vehicle registrations.

An Act providing a temporary extension of certain motor vehicle registrations.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    Notwithstanding the provisions of R.S.39:3-4 or any other law, rule, regulation, or order to the contrary, a passenger automobile registration certificate with an expiration date on or after the effective date of this act but before July 1, 2021 shall not expire until six months after the expiration date listed on the registration certificate.

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire on January 1, 2022.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill extends, for a period of six months, the expiration date of passenger automobile registration certificates that expire on or after the effective date of the bill but before July 1, 2021.
