     Provides supplemental appropriation of $2,240,000 from General Fund to DCF for services for victims of domestic violence.

A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved, 2017 (P.L.2017, c.  ).

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.  In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2017, c.  , there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

 

16 DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES

50 Economic Planning, Development and Security

55 Social Services Programs

GRANTS-IN-AID

03-1630 Family And Community Partnerships  ................................

$2,240,000

Total Grants-In-Aid Appropriation,

Grants-in-Aid:

 

 

03 Women's Services.................................

($2,240,000)

 

 

Of the amount hereinabove appropriated for Women's Services, the amounts allocated to the lead domestic violence agencies in the State and to the New Jersey Coalition to End Domestic Violence and the amount allocated to the 21 county-based sexual violence service organizations and the New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault shall be no less than the amounts allocated for FY 2015 to those agencies.

 

     2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2017.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill makes a supplemental appropriation of $2,240,000 to the Department of Children and Families to allocate funds to the lead domestic violence agencies in the State and to the New Jersey Coalition to End Domestic Violence and the amount allocated to the 21 county-based sexual violence service organizations and the New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault shall be no less than the amounts allocated for FY 2015 to those agencies.
