SYNOPSIS

     Allows Commission on Science, Innovation and Technology to provide grants to employees of public institutions of higher education and their companies.

An Act concerning grants made by the New Jersey Commission on Science, Innovation and Technology and supplementing P.L.1971, c.182 (C.52:13D-12 et seq.).

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    Notwithstanding the provisions of P.L.1971, c.182 (C.52:13D-12 et seq.) or any other law or regulation to the contrary, a State officer or employee or a special State officer or special State employee of a State public institution of higher education, or their partners or any corporation or firm in which they own or control stock, assets, or profits, may apply for, and the Commission on Science, Innovation and Technology may award, grants for the development of scientific or technological discoveries or innovations offered through or administered by the New Jersey Commission on Science, Innovation and Technology, established by P.L.1985, c.102 and re-established by P.L.2018, c.91


(C.52:9X-1 et seq.). 

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately 1and shall be retroactive to July 1, 20181.
