Makes Fiscal Year 2020 supplemental appropriation of $150,000 to Rutgers University - Camden for Senator Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs.

A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June 30, 2019 (P.L.2019, c.150).
Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.2019, c.150, there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill makes a Fiscal Year 2020 supplemental appropriation of $150,000 from the General Fund to Rutgers University - Camden for the Senator Walter Rand Institute for Publics Affairs.
Senator Walter Rand was a proud resident of Camden, New Jersey where he built an outstanding career in public service to the City and the wider South Jersey region. In recognition of his devotion to Camden, to South Jersey, and to the ideal of public service, Rutgers University - Camden established the Senator Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs (WRI). WRI blends applied research on policy issues critical to South Jersey and beyond with a commitment to bring citizens and leaders together to identify and address those issues. The funding provided under this bill for WRI will help sustain Senator Rand's legacy and improve the lives and communities in South Jersey.
