STATEMENT

This bill prohibits the governing body of any county or municipality to acquire by condemnation any airport that has had its development rights purchased under Section 11 of P.L.1983, c.264 (C.6:1-95) or any other law.  This protection is intended to ensure that local airports remain accessible to small aircraft and are not otherwise subject to unwanted economic development.
