AN ACT proclaiming June 3 each year in dedication of the sermon by Reverend Samuel McClintock on the commencement of the New Hampshire constitution and relative to the observance of Federal Constitution Days.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Eleven
AN ACT proclaiming June 3 each year in dedication of the sermon by Reverend Samuel McClintock on the commencement of the New Hampshire constitution and relative to the observance of Federal Constitution Days.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Observances Proclaimed by the Governor; Constitution Days. Amend RSA 4:13-c to read as follows:
4:13-c Constitution Days. The governor shall annually issue [on the following dates] a proclamation calling for a proper observance of State Constitution [Day which is] Days on January 5 and June 3 [and September 17 as Federal Constitution Day], so that the people may be reminded annually on these dates of the blessings of liberty which they enjoy [by the adoption of the Constitution of the United States, the Bill of Rights and the Constitution of the State of New Hampshire] as proclaimed in the June 3, 1784 election sermon of Reverend Samuel McClintock. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation calling for a proper observance of Federal Constitution Days on September 17 and June 21, so that the people may be reminded of the prominence of New Hampshire as the ninth and deciding state which put the Federal Constitution into effect and made us a nation.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
