STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Two

 

AN ACT requiring the state police to submit an annual report on traffic violations.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; Annual Traffic Violation Report.  Amend RSA 106-B by inserting after section 5 the following new section:

106-B:5-a  Annual Traffic Violation Report.  No later than November 1, 2023, and annually thereafter, the director of the state police shall submit to the speaker of the house of representatives, the senate president, and the governor a report of all traffic violations cited by the state police, highway patrol division.  Such report shall include the following data: where the violation occurred including the street and municipality; type of violation; primary or secondary offense; age, gender, and race of offender; the number of citations paid on time; the number of citations paid late; the number of citations where payment was not collected; and the number of warnings issued.  A link to the report shall be posted on the state police public website.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
