STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

 

AN ACT permitting high school students who are members of the armed forces to wear their uniforms at graduation.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Subdivision; Military Uniforms.  Amend RSA 189 by inserting after section 70 the following new subdivision:

Military Uniforms

189:71  Military Uniform.  The school board of every school district shall adopt a policy that permits a graduating student who has enlisted or accepted a commission in any branch of the United States armed forces to wear his or her military dress uniform at graduation.  In this section, "armed services" shall have the same meaning as in RSA 99-F:2.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
