SENATE BILL 820

 

 

AN ACT to modify the per job cap for purposes of CERTAIN job development incentive grant awards.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

SECTION 1.  G.S. 143B‑437.56(f) reads as rewritten:

"(f)       For projects other than transformative projects, the amount of a grant associated with any specific eligible position, including any amount transferred to the Utility Account pursuant to G.S. 143B‑437.61, may not exceed six thousand five hundred dollars ($6,500)sixteen thousand dollars ($16,000) in any year."

SECTION 2.  G.S. 143B‑437.57(a)(23) reads as rewritten:

"(23)    For projects other than transformative projects, a provision stating that the amount of a grant associated with any specific eligible position, including any amount transferred to the Utility Account pursuant to G.S. 143B‑437.61, may not exceed six thousand five hundred dollars ($6,500) the limitation contained in subdivision (f) of G.S. 143B‑437.56 in any year."

SECTION 3.  This act is effective when it becomes law and applies to awards granted on or after that date.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 3rd day of December, 2018.
