A SENATE RESOLUTION relating to the appointment, nomination, and confirmation of Dr. Junfeng "Jim" Zhang to the North Carolina oil and gas commission.

Whereas, pursuant to G.S. 143B‑293.2, appointments by the Governor to the North Carolina Oil and Gas Commission are subject to senatorial advice and consent in conformance with Section 5(8) of Article III of the North Carolina Constitution; and

Whereas, the Governor has nominated Dr. Junfeng "Jim" Zhang of Orange County to serve on the North Carolina Oil and Gas Commission as a commissioner with experience in matters related to public health, pending further action by the Senate; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

SECTION 1.  The appointment of Dr. Junfeng "Jim" Zhang of Orange County to serve on the North Carolina Oil and Gas Commission for a term expiring on December 31, 2019, is confirmed.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon adoption.
