A SENATE RESOLUTION providing for the confirmation of the governor's appointment to the board of trustees of the teachers' and state EmploYees' retirement system.

Whereas, the provisions of G.S. 135‑6 require that appointees to the Board of Trustees of the North Carolina Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System be confirmed by the North Carolina Senate; and

Whereas, the Governor has submitted to the presiding officer of the Senate the name of his appointee; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

SECTION 1.  The appointment of Cecil Vernon Gammon of Rockingham County, public member, to the Board of Trustees of the Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System for a term to expire March 31, 2021, is confirmed.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon adoption.
