WHEREAS, the girls posted the high score in all four games -778 in the first game, 822 in the second, 809 in the third and 907 in the fourth.  Seniors Sally Kate Garnder and Lynley Woodruff tied for first overall with series scores of 771.  Garnder bowled games of 138, 194, 170 and 219 while Woodruff bowled 198, 167, 164 and 192.  It is Gardner's third overall first place finish (2023 and 2020) and Woodruff's second (2022).  Lauren Trantham placed third overall with a 677 series (160, 165, 183, 169) with Emma Renfrow being outside the top five by just two pins with 623 series.  Emily Mann and Maddie Mask had high games of 161 and 157 respectively; and

WHEREAS, the boys started out strong as well, setting a school record with a 1,099 score in the first game.  They bowled 942 in the second game, 1011 in the third and 971 in the fourth.  The "Aggies" swept the top three on the individual side.  Corey Hardin followed up his win in regionals by taking first place at state with a series score of 844 (236, 185, 201 and 222).  Hayden Miles and Anderson Spencer tied for second with 835 series.  Miles posted games of 256, 192, 189 and 198.  Spencer had games of 204, 159, 257 and 215.  Eli Hinton posted a series score of 752, and Brady Crabb bowled a 208 in the first game; and

WHEREAS, all six girls made the Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star bowling tournament in Philadelphia with Gardner, Woodruff and Trantham getting in on their scores and state and Mann, Mask and Renfrow selected as wild cards.  On the boys' side, Hardin, Mile and Spencer made it on scores with Hinton selected as a wild card; and

WHEREAS, Kossuth's bowling dynasty knocked off another goal on their way to compete for another state championship.  Both the "Lady Aggies" and the "Aggies" won their bowling regionals in dominating fashion on January 29, 2024; and
