AN ACT TO REENACT AND AMEND CHAPTER 916, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2008, AS LAST AMENDED BY CHAPTER 906, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2014, TO EXTEND THE DATE OF REPEAL ON THE PROVISION OF LAW THAT AUTHORIZES THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MONROE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS ANNUALLY TO THE MONROE COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Chapter 916, Local and Private Laws of 2008, as amended by Chapter 908, Local and Private Laws of 2011, as amended by Chapter 906, Local and Private Laws of 2014, is reenacted and amended as follows:

     Section 1.  (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Monroe County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute funds in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00) annually, out of any available funds of the county, to the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce and/or its successors.

     (2)  The provisions of this section shall be repealed on July 1, * * *2017 2018.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
