A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE TISHOMINGO COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL BRAVES CHEERLEADING SQUAD FOR WINNING THE 2020 MISSISSIPPI HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION STATE CHEERLEADING CHAMPIONSHIP.

WHEREAS, the Tishomingo County High School Braves

Cheerleading Squad reigned supreme at the 2020 Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) State Cheerleading Championship, a truly sensational achievement; and

WHEREAS, throughout their spectacular season, this elite squad provided mesmerizing performances, demonstrating originality, technical proficiency and unmatched levels of dedication; and

WHEREAS, to claim this illustrious state cheerleading title, the squad unified all of their strengths and solidified their rise to championship status by utilizing the experience they gained through various competitions, performing with precision and accuracy, and captivating the judges by nailing each of their moves; and

WHEREAS, this phenomenal squad has been superbly coached and tremendously inspired by Head Coach Amy Webb and Mrs. Beverly Butler, who have broadened the squad's knowledge of the sport and refined their skills in execution, and who continue to build upon the legacy of superior cheerleading and true sportsmanship forged by the tenacious, bold and undaunted spirit of each cheerleader, as evidenced in their ability to produce high caliber squad members and by their successful season; and

WHEREAS, the Tishomingo County High School Braves Cheerleading Squad is comprised of dynamic young women who exhibit breathtaking talent, awe-inspiring passion, and astounding strength, embodying what it truly means to be a cheerleader by motivating, lifting up and encouraging those that they cheer for, and lighting a fire within them to achieve greatness; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend extraordinary Mississippi student-athletes, especially those such as the Tishomingo County High School Braves Cheerleading Squad, whose endless hard work and dedication to excellence brings honor to their school, the Tishomingo County community and to the great Magnolia State:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Tishomingo County High School Braves Cheerleading Squad for winning the 2020 MHSAA State Cheerleading Championship, and extend best wishes for continued success in all of their future endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Head Coach Amy Webb and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
