House Bill 792

AN ACT TO DESIGNATE CERTAIN SEGMENTS OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 24 AND MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 33 AS "CAMP VAN DORN HIGHWAY," "99TH INFANTRY DIVISION HIGHWAY" AND "63RD INFANTRY DIVISION HIGHWAY"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  (a)  That segment of Mississippi Highway 24 in Wilkinson and Amite Counties beginning at Fort Adams and extending easterly to Liberty is designated and shall be known as the "Camp Van Dorn Highway."

          (b)  That segment of Mississippi Highway 33 in Amite, Wilkinson, Franklin and Jefferson Counties beginning at Centerville and extending northerly to Fayette is designated and shall be known as the "99th Infantry Division Highway."

          (c)  That segment of Mississippi Highway 33 in Wilkinson County beginning at the Mississippi/Louisiana state line and extending northerly to Centerville is designated and shall be known as the "63rd Infantry Division Highway."

     (2)  The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segments of highway described in subsection (1) of this section.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
