AN ACT TO ESTABLISH THE "ALL FUELS ACT OF 2021"; TO PROVIDE THAT NO POLITICAL SUBDIVISION MAY PROHIBIT THE EXPANSION, CONNECTION OR RECONNECTION OF A SERVICE BASED UPON THE TYPE OR SOURCE OF ENERGY PROVIDED TO A CUSTOMER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  This section may be known and cited as the "All Fuels Act of 2021."

     SECTION 2.  (1)  No political subdivision of this state may adopt an ordinance resolution, regulation, code or policy that prohibits, or has the effect of prohibiting the expansion, utilization connection or reconnection of a service based upon the type or source of energy to be delivered to an individual customer.

     (2)  For purposes of this section, the term "political subdivision" shall have the same meaning as provided under Section 11-46-1.

     SECTION 3.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
