Summary

An Act To Allow The Operation Of Low-speed Vehicles On Public Highways Where The Posted Speed Limit Is 35 Miles Per Hour Or Less; To Permit Low-speed Vehicles To Cross Public Highways Where The Posted Speed Limit Is More Than 35 Miles Per Hour; To Allow Counties, Municipalities And The Mississippi Department Of Transportation To Prohibit The Operation Of Low-speed Vehicles In Their Respective Jurisdictions If Necessary In The Interest Of Safety; To Amend Section 63-21-5, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Include Low-speed Vehicles Operated On Public Highways In The Definition Of Motor Vehicles Subject To Titling Requirements; To Amend Section 63-21-11, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Exclude Low-speed Vehicles Not Operated On Public Highways From Titling Requirements; To Amend Section 27-19-3, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Include Low-speed Vehicles Operated On Public Highways In The Definition Of Motor Vehicles Subject To Privilege Tax, Registration And Licensing Requirements; To Amend Section 27-19-30, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Exclude Low-speed Vehicles Not Operated On Public Highways From Privilege Tax, Registration And Licensing Requirements; And For Related Purposes.
