Summary

An Act To Require The Inclusion Of Visual Art And Music Instruction In The Curriculum Of Public Education; To Prescribe The Criteria For Such Instruction In The Various Grades; To Require The State Department Of Education To Provide A Stipend Of Not Less Than $500.00 Per Class To Each School For The Purchase Of Necessary Supplies Or Equipment To Facilitate The Instruction, Contingent Upon A Legislative Appropriation For Such Purposes; To Amend Section 37-7-301, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Revise The Power Of Local School Boards In Conformity To The Preceding Provisions; To Bring Forward Section 37-3-79, Mississippi Code Of 1972, For The Purpose Of Possible Amendment; And For Related Purposes.
