Summary

An Act To Amend Section 47-7-3, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide Parole Eligibility For Persons Sentenced To Life Imprisonment Or Life Imprisonment Without Parole If Such Persons Were Under Eighteen Years Of Age At The Time Of The Commission Of The Offense For Which Such Persons Were Convicted And To Establish Factors Sentencing Courts Must Consider In Determining Whether Such Persons Should Not Be Eligible For Parole; To Extend The Date Of Repeal On This Section From July 1, 2024, To July 1, 2025; And For Related Purposes.
