Summary

An Act To Amend Section 43-13-117, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That Family Planning Services Covered Under Medicaid Shall Include Coverage For Long-acting Reversible Contraception (larc) Methods; To Require Medicaid Providers Of Services To Pregnant Women And Girls To Provide Objective Information And Counseling To Those Patients About Larc Methods As Early In Their Pregnancy As Practicable; To Provide That If The Patient Is A Minor, The Patient's Parent Or Guardian Must Be Present When That Information And Counseling Is Provided To The Patient; And For Related Purposes.
