INTRODUCED BY REPRESENTATIVE PIERSON.
WHEREAS, the Missouri House of Representatives recognizes the importance of empowering citizens to actively participate in the democratic process; and
WHEREAS, the Missouri House of Representatives has a long tradition of rendering assistance to those organizations that sponsor projects in the interest of good citizenship; and
WHEREAS, the Emerging Leaders Youth Conference sponsored by the Missouri Legislative Black Caucus Foundation is an educational experience in state government for youth by allowing such youth to participate in the democratic process:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we, the members of the Missouri House of Representatives, Ninety-seventh General Assembly, hereby grant the Missouri Legislative Black Caucus Foundation's 2014 Emerging Leaders Youth Conference permission to use the House Chamber on Monday, June 30, 2014, from noon to 5:00 p.m.
