AN ACT

To repeal section 321.017, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to board members of fire protection and ambulance districts.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Section 321.017, RSMo, is repealed and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 321.017, to read as follows:

            321.017. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 321.015, no employee of any fire protection district or ambulance district shall serve as a member of any fire district or ambulance district board in the same county where such person is employed while such person is employed by any fire district or ambulance district, except that an employee of a fire protection district or an ambulance district may serve as a member of a voluntary fire protection district board or a voluntary ambulance district board.
