AN ACT

To amend chapter 137, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the taxation of property.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 137, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 137.777, to read as follows:

            137.777. No political subdivision shall require any party to file any certificate of value with any deed or instrument by which any interest in residential, commercial, or industrial real property within this state is granted, assigned, transferred, or otherwise conveyed to, or vested in, any person or persons. Any such order, ordinance, or other similar local legislation requiring any certificate of value is hereby void.
