1.2congratulating Stella Huso of Big Lake, Minnesota, on her 100th birthday
1.3WHEREAS, our communities are blessed by the presence of those who have lived long lives
1.4and who are part of our living history; and;
1.5WHEREAS, having a 100th birthday is a joyous occasion and a time to honor and congratulate
1.6the celebrant; and
1.7WHEREAS, Stella Huso was born on January 8, 1919, and reached her 100th birthday on
1.8January 8, 2019; and
1.9WHEREAS, Stella is a Gold Star Mother and auxiliary member of the Big Lake American
1.10Legion and Auxiliary Post, Unit 147; and
1.11WHEREAS, a celebration in her honor will be held by the Big Lake American Legion in
1.12the spring of 2019; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates Stella Huso on her 100th birthday and commends her for the sacrifices of her family
1.15in the name of freedom in service of our country; and
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.17enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.18Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Stella Huso.
