1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring Ken Larson of Battle Lake, Minnesota, on the occasion of his 100th
1.3birthday.
1.4WHEREAS, our communities are blessed by the presence of those who have lived long lives
1.5and who are part of our living history; and
1.6WHEREAS, having a 100th birthday is a joyous occasion and a time to honor and congratulate
1.7the celebrant; and
1.8WHEREAS, Ken Larson is a veteran who served in World War II as a Private First Class;
1.9and
1.10WHEREAS, during the war, Ken served in the Military Police Corps, the uniformed law
1.11enforcement branch of the United States Army; and
1.12WHEREAS, Ken was stationed at Fort Snelling in St. Paul, Minnesota; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates Ken Larson on his 100th birthday and commends him for his years of exceptional,
1.15committed service to our nation as a member of the armed forces.
1.16BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.17enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.18Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Ken Larson.
