1.1A bill for an act
1.2relating to stadiums; requiring naming rights, seat licenses, and NFL loan
1.3revenue to be used for the state share of stadium costs;amending Minnesota
1.4Statutes 2012, section 473J.15, by adding a subdivision.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.6    Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 473J.15, is amended by adding a
1.7subdivision to read:
1.8    Subd. 17. Stadium revenue sources. Notwithstanding this chapter or any other law
1.9or ordinance to the contrary, the Minnesota Stadium Authority shall retain all revenues
1.10from naming rights, personal seat licenses, builder's licenses, and any revenues from a
1.11loan or grant from the National Football League, and shall deposit these funds in the state
1.12treasury. The commissioner of management and budget shall use these funds to offset
1.13any general fund contributions to the payment of appropriation bonds for construction or
1.14operation of the stadium constructed for the football team.
1.15EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment. In
1.16the event of a refusal to comply with this act on the part of the football team, the Minnesota
1.17Stadium Authority shall cease and cause to be ceased all work on the construction of
1.18a new football stadium.

1.19    Sec. 2. REVISOR'S INSTRUCTION.
1.20The revisor shall prepare legislation revising the terms and conditions of Laws 2012,
1.21chapter 299, to conform with the provisions of this act, and shall note the changes in any
1.22subsequent edition of Minnesota Statutes.
