the people of the state of michigan enact:
Sec. 1. As used in this act:
(a) "Homeowners association" means an association, organization, or group of homeowners, including, but not limited to, a homeowners association, condominium association, cooperative organization, mobile home association, neighborhood association, or property owners association.
(b) "Solar energy conversion device" means a mechanism or series of mechanisms designed primarily to collect, convert, transfer, or store for future use solar energy for the purposes of providing heating, cooling, or electric supply.
Sec. 2. A homeowners association shall not prohibit the installation of a solar energy conversion device on the property of its members.
