HOUSE BILL No. 6544

 

 

November 28, 2018, Introduced by Reps. Phelps, Yancey, Durhal, Camilleri, Guerra, Peterson and Jones and referred to the Committee on Tax Policy.

 

     A bill to amend 1984 PA 270, entitled

 

"Michigan strategic fund act,"

 

(MCL 125.2001 to 125.2094) by adding section 15.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 15. Beginning January 1, 2019, the fund shall establish

 

requirements to ensure that any recipient of funds under this act,

 

including a loan, a grant, or funding or other assistance for a

 

project, that has 50 or more employees as determined by the fund,

 

conducts a study of its employees of the difference in salary based

 

on race, sex, and age and reports that information to the fund, as

 

determined by the fund. Each year, the fund shall publish on its

 

internet website all of the information reported to it under this

 

section.
