A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled

"Public health code,"

(MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding sections 16290 and 20190.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 16290. (1) A licensee or registrant who owns or operates a private practice office shall ensure that personal protection equipment is available to each individual employed by or under contract with the licensee or registrant while the individual is engaged in his or her course of employment.

(2) As used in this section, "personal protection equipment" includes, but is not limited to, all of the following:

(a) Medical-grade disposable gloves.

(b) N95 respirators.

Sec. 20190. (1) A health facility or agency shall ensure that personal protection equipment is available to each individual employed by or under contract with the health facility or agency while the individual is engaged in his or her course of employment.

(2) As used in this section, "personal protection equipment" includes, but is not limited to, all of the following:

(a) Medical-grade disposable gloves.

(b) N95 respirators.
