HOUSE BILL No. 5756

     A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled

 

"The revised school code,"

 

(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding sections 503d, 523d, and 553d.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 503d. A public school academy shall not enter into an

 

agreement with an educational management organization to provide

 

educational, administrative, management, or instructional services

 

or staff to the public school academy unless the educational

 

management organization is a nonprofit entity.

 

     Sec. 523d. An urban high school academy shall not enter into

 

an agreement with an educational management organization to provide

 

educational, administrative, management, or instructional services

 

or staff to the urban high school academy unless the educational

 

management organization is a nonprofit entity.

 

     Sec. 553d. A school of excellence shall not enter into an

 

agreement with an educational management organization to provide

 

educational, administrative, management, or instructional services

 

or staff to the school of excellence unless the educational

 

management organization is a nonprofit entity.
