HOUSE BILL NO. 5586

A bill to amend 1967 PA 281, entitled

"Income tax act of 1967,"

(MCL 206.1 to 206.713) by adding section 51h.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 51h. (1) In addition to the other distributions under this part, beginning with the 2020-2021 state fiscal year and each state fiscal year thereafter, from the revenue collected under section 51 an amount equal to the amount of revenue lost, as determined by the department, to the school aid fund created in section 11 of article IX of the state constitution of 1963 and the comprehensive transportation fund, created in section 10b of 1951 PA 51, MCL 247.660b, respectively, as a result of the exemption under section 4ii of the general sales tax act, 1967 PA 167, MCL 205.54ii, shall be deposited each state fiscal year into the school aid fund created in section 11 of article IX of the state constitution of 1963 and the comprehensive transportation fund created in section 10b of 1951 PA 51, MCL 247.660b, respectively.

(2) Money deposited into the state school aid fund created in section 11 of article IX of the state constitution of 1963 under this section must not include and must be considered in addition to money deposited in the state school aid fund created in section 11 of article IX of the state constitution of 1963 under section 51(2).

Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless all of the following bills of the 100th Legislature are enacted into law:

(a) Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 5582 (request no. 01324'19).

(c) Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 5584 (request no. 01899'19).
