"The social welfare act,"

(MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 14n.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 14n. Unless expressly required by federal law, the department must obtain specific authorization from the legislature before seeking, applying for, accepting, or renewing a waiver of work requirements established by the supplemental nutrition assistance program under 7 USC 2015(o) for food assistance benefits.
