A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled
"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"
(MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding part 4.
the people of the state of michigan enact:
PART 4 CORPORATE LIABILITY
Sec. 401. Notwithstanding any other provision of this act, if a corporation is liable for a criminal or civil violation of article II or of chapter 1 or 3 of article III, and the corporation's annual gross revenue in the corporation's fiscal year immediately preceding the fiscal year in which the violation occurred was more than $5,000,000.00, the maximum fine for the violation is 5% of the corporation's annual gross revenue in that preceding fiscal year, or the maximum fine otherwise specified in this act, whichever is greater.
