HOUSE BILL No. 5243

January 26, 2016, Introduced by Reps. Heise, Kosowski, Schor, Santana, Sheppard and Lucido and referred to the Committee on Local Government.

 

     A bill to amend 1851 PA 156, entitled

 

"An act to define the powers and duties of the county boards of

commissioners of the several counties, and to confer upon them

certain local, administrative and legislative powers; and to

prescribe penalties for the violation of the provisions of this

act,"

 

(MCL 46.1 to 46.32) by adding section 1b.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 1b. Beginning on the effective date of the amendatory act

 

that added this section, the provisions of this act are subject to

 

the local government professional services selection act.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days

 

after the date it is enacted into law.

 

     Enacting section 2. This amendatory act does not take effect

 

unless Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 5238 (request no.

 

02416'15) of the 98th Legislature is enacted into law.
