A bill to amend 2016 PA 436, entitled
"Unmanned aircraft systems act,"
(MCL 259.301 to 259.331) by adding section 30.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 30. The Michigan aeronautics commission created under
section 26 of the aeronautics code of the state of Michigan, 1945
PA 327, MCL 259.26, the department of state police, and the task
force created under section 31 shall cooperate to, and shall, enter
into a memorandum of understanding or other agreement with the
Federal Aviation Administration to allow the department of state
police, local law enforcement agencies, and security personnel for
ports, railroads, and airports in this state to enforce federal
statutes and regulations relating to the operation of unmanned
aircraft systems in this state.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days
after the date it is enacted into law.
