     A bill to amend 1939 PA 280, entitled

 

"The social welfare act,"

 

(MCL 400.1 to 400.119b) by adding section 109n.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 109n. Subject to appropriation, the department may

 

provide grants to public and private nonprofit entities for

 

projects that demonstrate ways to integrate mental health services

 

for older adults into primary health care settings, such as

 

federally qualified health centers as defined in section

 

1905(l)(2)(B) of the social security act, 42 USC 1396d, primary

 

care clinics, and private practice sites. The department may

 

promulgate rules to implement this section.

 

     Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days

 

after the date it is enacted into law.
