June 3, 2015, Introduced by Reps. LaVoy, Sheppard, Geiss, Driskell, Hovey-Wright, Irwin, Sarah Roberts, Hoadley, Darany, Robinson, Plawecki, Lucido, Canfield, Callton, Kosowski, Heise, Chang, Wittenberg, Yanez, Pagan, Liberati, Zemke and Singh and referred to the Committee on Energy Policy.

 

     A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled

 

"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"

 

(MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 61505b.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 61505b. Notwithstanding any other provision of this part

 

or the rules promulgated under this part, the supervisor shall not

 

issue a permit for drilling, or authorize the use of, an injection

 

well for disposal or storage within an area of Karst geology.
