     A bill to designate the eastern wild turkey as the official

 

game bird of the state of Michigan.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 

     Sec. 1. The eastern wild turkey (Meleagris gallopavo

 

silvestris) is designated as this state's official game bird.

 

     Enacting section 1. This act takes effect 90 days after the

 

date it is enacted into law.
